Marriott International has kicked off 2014 with two Dubai openings to expand its ever-growing portfolio across the Middle East and Africa. Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf and Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Al Jaddaf are situated in close proximity to Dubai’s Royal residence, Zabeel Palace, and offer scenic views of the city landscape featuring Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay and the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.

“It is an exciting time for Marriott International as we start off the year opening two beautiful properties in Dubai,” says Alex Kyriakidis, president and MD, Marriott International Middle East and Africa. “The Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf is our first of many future properties that are aligned with the brand’s new positioning and strategic direction, while the Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Al Jaddaf further strengthens our footprint in the region’s extended-stay segment.

“We are delighted to be working with our partners, Nilona Holding, owners of the Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf and Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Al Jaddaf, to open these two attractive properties, which are in line with Dubai’s projected industry growth over the next few years as we move towards Expo 2020.”

Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf has 352 rooms across eight floors, including 192 Deluxe King rooms, 107 Deluxe Double rooms, 39 Executive Suites, two Zabeel Suites and a Presidential Suite. Each space is designed for functionality and leisure with state-of-the-art technology, wireless internet and spacious amenities. The hotel also offers 14 elegant meeting rooms, the Zabeel ballroom – which can accommodate up to 540 people – and seven restaurants, lounges and bars.

The Marriott Hotels brand currently operates 16 hotels in seven countries across the Middle East and Africa, equating to over 5000 rooms. By 2017, the brand aims to expand by a further 12 properties across the region, raising the room count by nearly 3000 rooms.

Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Al Jaddaf is the upscale serviced apartments brand’s sixth property in the region – with a further six set to open across the Middle East and Africa by 2017. Introduced in 1997 to the Marriott International portfolio, Marriott Executive Apartments is the company’s only corporate apartment brand designed to provide upscale residential living.

Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Al Jaddaf has 128 fully-furnished apartments including one-, two- and three-bedroom options, providing a personalised service in a space with the comfort and privacy of a home away from home.
