Kerzner International Holdings Limited, which through its subsidiaries is a leading international developer and operator of destination resorts and luxury hotels, has entered into an agreement with BK Partners, a private equity fund focused on tourism and land development, to develop and operate two new One&Only resorts on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. These new resorts will complement the experience offered at the award-winning One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico.

One&Only Mandarina, located in Riveria Nayarit, approximately 50km north of Puerto Vallarta’s airport, will offer approximately 145 luxurious villas as well as private residential estates, world-class farm-to-table dining and original retail options.

The beachfront resort will maximize the dramatic rain forest location, with each secluded villa individually placed to celebrate where the sky meets the sea and the lush flora and fauna. A wide variety of spectacular accommodation will include Ocean Cliff Villas, Tree House Villas and Mountain Villas, all placing an emphasis on privacy and beautiful vistas.

Adults will discover the very chic pool, soaring high above the Pacific, with private cabanas and a sophisticated poolside café and lounge, perfect for a decadent escape or an intimate gathering.

A beach club, just steps from the water’s edge, will provide fun and energy, as well as relaxation. A family pool nearby will offer guests of all ages the ultimate enjoyment of both sun and surf. Built into the bluffs and benefiting from varying elevations, a wide variety of experiences can be enjoyed within this tribute to the natural elements, including cabanas perfect for families.

Both internationally-influenced and locally-inspired restaurants will allow guests to explore a range of dining experiences, while the latest in fashion will be available at stylish boutiques.

The resort will also offer an indulgent One&Only Spa and Fitness Centre, honouring the inspired surrounds with treatments using traditional Mexican elements, as well as the latest state-of-the-art technology. In addition, the resort will have a private Conference Centre, offering the perfect destination for corporate meetings and retreats.

One&Only Santa Maria de Xala will be part of a new 1200-hectare development located approximately 100 kilometres south of Puerto Vallarta’s international airport. The authentic hacienda resort will command 8 kilometres of impressive beach front, a connection to traditions past yet offering the latest in ultra-luxury.

The resort will offer approximately 75 luxury villas and suites with private pools, providing the perfect accommodation for both couples and families. The development will also include a prestigious One&Only residential component.

The region’s heritage will be woven throughout the resort, utilizing natural elements, to inform the design of both the public and private spaces of the resort. True to the brand’s heritage, One&Only Santa Maria de Xala will offer a variety of world-class cuisines, showcasing regional specialties in restaurants overseen by internationally-acclaimed chefs. All culinary experiences will showcase the incredible local and seasonal offerings.

The resort will also house an indulgent One&Only Spa, honouring the region’s heritage by utilising ancient Mexican traditions and holistic practices fused with modern spa therapies, as well as a Fitness Centre offering the latest technology and innovation. In addition, event and meeting space will be available for bespoke gatherings, whether for business or personal pleasure.

“I am thrilled we are able to partner with BK Partners to further develop Mexico as a world-class destination, building on the success of One&Only Palmilla,” says Alan Leibman, CEO, Kerzner International.

“I am looking forward to introducing both of these resorts to our loyal One&Only guests and new guests alike. The locations truly showcase the best Mexico has to offer, each with a distinctive experience, and I am very confident that One&Only will continue to define ultra-luxury in the region.”
