Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames, marking the debut of the Park Hyatt brand in the United Kingdom. Located in an exclusive riverside location in the fast-transforming South West London district of Nine Elms, the property boasts unparalleled views of London’s skyline, combining residential charm with sophistication in complete harmony.

Park Hyatt London River Thames will offer 203 guestrooms, in a prime location that allows guests to fulfill their diverse desires for culture, exploration and creativity. Just a short walk from Battersea Power Station— recently crowned one of London’s most popular attractions after welcoming 11 million visitors last year— it sits between more than 200 acres of green space at Battersea Park and a number of cultural draws, including the historic Kia Oval Cricket Ground and the Tate Britain. The property also benefits from close proximity to some of London’s most iconic landmarks, such as the lastminute.com London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.

“Bringing the flagship Park Hyatt hotel to life has been a privilege,” said Rike Erdbrink, general manager, Park Hyatt London River Thames. “This hotel embodies understated luxury, where personalised service and a warm atmosphere create a true sense of home and belonging in London. With its central location and thoughtful design, the hotel positions London in a new light, primed to accommodate discerning travelers looking for elevated experiences.”

Thoughtful English design with a contemporary twist

The interiors of Park Hyatt London River Thames epitomize the hallmarks of the Park Hyatt brand and how it continues to evolve by offering a contemporary interpretation of classic English style; its timeless furniture and bespoke artisanal details echoing elegance and comfort. The neutral and muted design is complemented with color accents and powerful artwork including an immersive “park by water” experience. The hotel’s entrance also features a breathtaking Charlie Whinney installation, ‘Ebb and Flow’, inspired by the river Thames. Elsewhere throughout the property, guests can enjoy art from several well-known artists, including Ian Rayer-Smith, Jo Taylor, Françoise Delaire, Gabriel Leung, George Blacklock, and Ewan David.

The hotel’s guestrooms offer a seamless continuation of this journey, with wallpapered walls featuring designs by the iconic English textile designer William Morris, complemented by a scheme of white and ebony, with accents of leather and brass throughout. These elements result in a combination of comfort and indulgence for guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure every room is filled with natural light, with many rooms offering guests sweeping views of the river Thames, the Houses of Parliament and the City of London.

Crafted dining experiences

The bars and restaurants at Park Hyatt London River Thames embody the diversity of its surroundings, offering guests an assorted culinary journey through what promises to be one of London’s finest dining experiences. Each venue presents a unique atmosphere and flavour, ensuring every visit is a memorable occasion.

At The Nine Elms Kitchen & Terrace, guests can indulge in seasonal ingredients that are transformed into culinary masterpieces paying homage to London’s culture. The Nine Elms Bar & Lounge, offers an escape into the past, enabling guests to unwind with signature cocktails. For those looking for an elevated experience, TAMISé Tea Lounge & Wine Library offers a setting overlooking the river. The hotel’s Executive Chef Fabrice Lasnon brings over 35 years’ experience and distinctive flair to craft inspiring dishes in these intimate settings. Guests will also be able to enjoy authentic flavours at the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant, expected to open later this year.

Unparalleled wellness facilities

For guests seeking ultimate relaxation, the hotel offers a wellness experience like no other. An entire floor is dedicated to rejuvenation, featuring a spa with panoramic river views, flooded with natural light, and an expansive layout that sets it apart in London. Guests can also enjoy a 1,550-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a serene 65×26 foot indoor pool, six luxurious treatment rooms, and a tranquil relaxation lounge – making it the perfect sanctuary to unwind against the busy backdrop of the city.

Memorable meetings and events

With its prized central London location and proximity to the US Embassy, Park Hyatt London River Thames is the ideal location for the finest events. The hotel has 14,337 square feet of meeting space—including one of the largest ballrooms to open in central London since 1929, with the ability to host 830 guests, while still remaining versatile enough to be divided into three smaller spaces. An additional seven meeting rooms can also be opened to form one larger space and connect to an expansive foyer. The numerous potential set-ups are ideal for curating unique and personalised events, whatever the occasion.

“The opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames is a testament to our continued commitment to expanding our luxury brand offering across Europe, Africa and the Middle East,” commented Javier Águila, group president EAME, Hyatt. “Sustaining this momentum is key to our goal of hotels’ accommodating guests who are looking for the ultimate indulgence. With Park Hyatt London River Thames’ exceptional views, sophisticated design, memorable meeting spaces and second-to-none culinary experiences, we are confident that this hotel will exceed expectations.”

“One Nine Elms is an exciting mixed-use hotel and residential project with Park Hyatt London River Thames being the crown jewel among its offerings. This project brings together industry leaders across multiple fields, including KPF for architecture, Multiplex for construction, Super Potato for interior design, and Hyatt for hospitality,” added Mr. Guan Zhixiong, director and spokesman of R&F ONE (UK) LIMITED. “This collaboration of top-tier talent is set to attract like-minded elites and industry leaders from around the globe to experience the unparalleled luxury of Park Hyatt London River Thames. As a model of urban regeneration, the hotel’s opening not only offers residents of One Nine Elms a distinctive luxury experience, but also breathes new life into the local community, achieving both economic and social value. Positioned among London’s most iconic landmarks, the hotel itself is destined to become a landmark in its own right.”
