Patmos Aktis, Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

This summer, Marriot International’s Luxury Collection will make its Dodecanese debut with the opening of Patmos Aktis, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Greece. Following an extensive renovation, the resort is set to reopen its doors on the golden sands of Grikos Bay in June, marking a new chapter for the island’s hospitality scene. A destination acclaimed for its picturesque coastline and spiritual energy, Patmos is fringed with traditional fishing villages, a unique volcanic landscape and secluded coves. Drawing inspiration from the island’s storied past, Patmos Aktis, will offer a tranquil, timeless escape whereby guests are invited to foster a deep connection with the sea and surrounding natural beauty.

Reimagined by Stylianidis Vaggelis Architects and Anastassiadis Architecture & Design, all 56 guestrooms, suites and villas have been renovated, with additional guestrooms to be added in 2025. Led by Patricia Anastassiadis, interiors will blend The Luxury Collection’s authentic and experiential design with Patmos Aktis’ essence of serene simplicity. A soothing and calming colour palette of creams, whites and soft blue tones will be visible throughout the resort, complemented by local artwork and traditional Greek craftsmanship to honour the island’s rich ancestry.

The resort will also welcome a new signature restaurant set to serve up Mediterranean delicacies with a contemporary twist, and a bar & terrace complete with unobstructed views of the Aegean. Embodying the charm of a traditional Greek taverna, Plefis Tavern boasts a prime location on the beach with a menu of authentic Dodecanese cuisine and a fresh redesign inspired by its seafront location. Mirroring the spiritual energy of the island, the hotel’s elevated Spa will offer rejuvenating rituals and signature treatments designed to detoxify the mind and relax the body. Each guests’ wellness journey will begin with a balancing welcome drink flavoured with rose petals, followed by an array of restorative experiences, including mystical sessions with Tibetan bells and beauty treatments incorporating rose essence.
