Preferred Hotel Group, a global provider of sales, marketing and distribution services to independent luxury hotels, has announced the appointment of Philipp Weghmann to Executive Vice President of Europe, effective immediately.
In this position, Weghmann drives the company’s efforts in the region at a time of exponential growth, ensuring the retention of nearly 200 member properties, overseeing the strategic direction and evolution of the company in Europe, and managing a team of 35 associates based in offices across 6 cities.

Prior to this promotion, Weghmann held one of the company’s top ranking regional positions as area managing director of Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Miami. Over a successful three-year period, he was recognised for generating significant awareness of Preferred Hotel Group and increasing the company’s portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts across the region.
At this time, he was also responsible for spearheading the company’s representation of several internationally acclaimed hotel companies such as Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts in Mexico and Las Americas Hotels in South America.
Currently residing in Barcelona, Cologne-born Weghmann is a true global citizen who has lived in six countries. He is fluent in German, Spanish, French, and English.
