Details of the inaugural Saudi Arabia Hospitality Awards (2017) will be announced by organisers’ dmg events at The Hotel Show in Jeddah this month.

The launch will take place during the second day of the annual The Hotel Show Saudi Arabia (18th May 2016), where representatives from hotels and restaurants throughout Saudi Arabia will have the chance to register individual properties for entry across 10 award categories.

Winners will be announced at an official ceremony at the 2017 edition of The Hotel Show Saudi Arabia, after a significant judging process.

“We have been running the Middle East Hotel Awards in Dubai for 5 years now and with each edition we have seen more entrants from Saudi Arabia,” says Christine Davidson, Group Event Director of the dmg events Middle East, Asia and Africa hospitality portfolio. “Last year our winners included the impressive Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.”

“The hospitality landscape in Saudi Arabia is diversifying as tourist figures are forecast to soar. Rocco Forte and Nobu Hotels are two exciting luxury brands set to enter the Middle East market this year in Jeddah and Riyadh respectively; meanwhile, a host of mid-market brands will open in 2016 and 2017 including Accor’s Novotel, Ibis and Ibis Styles.

“With an impressive existing portfolio and future pipeline of hotels and restaurants, our team identified the ongoing pressure for continuous improvements in service levels and the quality of offerings and facilities. Establishments should be recognised for such efforts and by introducing the awards we can publicly highlight and celebrate achievements in excellence.”

The 10 categories to be awarded at the Saudi Arabia Hospitality Awards (2017) include: Best Lobby/Lounge; Best Conference and Banqueting Facilities; Best All-Day Dining Restaurant; Best Hotel Suite; Best Budget Hotel; Best Business Hotel; Best Family-Friendly Hotel; Best 4* Hotel; Best 5* Hotel; and Best Luxury Hotel.

Hotels and restaurants based in Saudi Arabia can register interest in the Saudi Arabia Hospitality Awards and apply for individual categories at the launch event at The Hotel Show in Jeddah (6:00pm; 18th May 2016), or online.
