As part of the renovation, 69 of Shandrani’s 327 rooms have been converted into adult-only accommodations. The new ‘Shandrani for Two’ offering caters to couples and adults seeking a peaceful, refined retreat. Guests staying in these rooms can enjoy exclusive access to a private beach area, a dedicated dining space, and a beachfront bar, making it the perfect setting for romance and relaxation.
Refreshed Rooms
Shandrani has introduced three new room categories, each with a distinct theme drawn from the island’s vibrant natural environment. Locally sourced materials such as rattan headboards, wooden partitions, and marble accents create a stylish yet grounded aesthetic. The Tropical Rooms, inspired by the Indian Ocean, feature tranquil sea blues and bright coral accents, while the Tropical Ground Rooms celebrate Mauritius’ native flora and fauna decorated with lush greens and floral patterns that echo the surrounding landscapes. Shandrani has also introduced a brand new luxury category of Rooftop Rooms, which include private wooden decks, open-air showers and jacuzzis, ideal for guests seeking privacy and indulgence.
Le Grand Port Restaurant
Le Grand Port, the resort’s restaurant, has undergone thoughtful restructuring to improve flow and elevate the dining experience. Now accommodating up to 297 guests, the restaurant features cosy booths and secluded nooks, ideal for a romantic dinner. An upgraded service station ensures more efficient service without compromising the relaxing atmosphere.
