The companies formalised their collaboration, which also covers branded residences and the hotel group’s first membership club in Asia, at a signing ceremony at the Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC).

MQDC CEO Visit Malaisirirat and the developer’s President for Hotels & Hospitality, Chris Ow, signed on behalf of the developer with Six Senses represented by Neil Jacobs, CEO and Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.

“This collaboration is based on a shared goal: to give guests and residents the highest-quality experiences for health and well-being while operating in total harmony with the human and natural environment, an approach MQDC calls for all well-being,” says Visit Malaisirirat.

“Six Senses has won the devotion of an exacting clientele with its vision of intelligent luxury. MQDC is honored to be hosting this outstanding global brand at its The Forestias, built under our ‘sustainnovation’ principle with extensive woodlands and green spaces that can contribute to crafted experiences and lasting memories.”

“Six Senses has chosen The Forestias, its first location in Bangkok, for a 60-room hotel, 36 residences, and the group’s first membership club in Asia,” adds Chief Executive Officer Neil Jacobs. “Under our vision of helping guests reconnect with themselves, others, and the world, Six Senses seeks unique locations where we can operate sustainably and with concern for our surroundings in what we term local sensitivity, global sensibility.

“At Six Senses Forestias, our guests and residential owners will enjoy a tranquil haven in easy reach from Bangkok’s multitude of cultural and leisure attractions. Their lifestyles will also be enhanced by spectacular on-site facilities and services including our first membership club in Asia, also offering the wider community a chance to enjoy the finest health and wellness amenities.”

MQDC’s Ow said the developer would contribute expertise in design and management to ensure an exceptional experience. “MQDC’s increasing success as a mixed-used property developer is confirmed by this agreement, which follows similar associations with other high-end hotel brands,” he explains.

“Bangkok is the undisputed world capital of hospitality, where the finest hotels and professionals compete to impress the most sophisticated travelers. With our harmonized vision of wellness and sustainability, MQDC and Six Senses will be adding a compelling new option to this rich offering.”
