This year’s edition of outdoor furniture trade show, spoga+gafa, will take place from 31st August-2nd September at Koelnmesse, Cologne. In addition to the extensive exhibition, visitors will be able to view a plethora of cutting-edge, creative ideas at the Unique Youngstar competition display. The show is currently on the look out for entries into this year’s competition, which must be submitted by 15th April.

Up-and-coming designers and design students (who have completed their studies within the past three years) are being invited to submit their ideas for products based on an exploration of outdoor living. The entries will be judged on the overall concept, the originality of the design, aesthetics, functionality and quality of presentation.

The prototypes will be presented in the competition exhibition in the Garden Unique sector at the show. As part of the Unique Hour, three jury prizes will be awarded, as well as a public prize which will be determined by online voting. The winners will be awarded a prize of 6000 euros.

62 entries from 24 countries were submitted for last year’s competition.
