The Arts Club Dubai opens impressive venues on its fifth floor

The Arts Club Dubai – the first international outpost of the famed private Members’ club from London – has opened its fifth floor, comprising a 23,000 square foot rooftop terrace, new 70s inspired late-night lounge, Vega, and cigar lounge, Oscuro.

The rooftop terrace offers magnificent views of Dubai’s spectacular skyline, with an exquisite outdoor bar serving some of the Club’s signature cocktails, small plates, with live DJ sets, intimate tables and luxurious cabanas.

Inspired by the eclectic design of the rest of the Club and created in collaboration with Dimorestudio, the rooftop design is very much an extension of the Club’s existing aesthetic, with a vivid colour palette, plush seating and a myriad of lush greenery amidst the outdoor space.

The fifth floor also features the famed Oscuro cigar lounge, imported from London and adapted for Dubai. Oscuro is a luxurious indoor lounge where Members can enjoy fine cigars, chosen by Alberto Lucchelli, The Arts Club’s Master of Habanos.

Also taking up residence on the fifth floor is the Club’s late night music lounge. Vega is a scintillating space, combining visual and cultural cues from the 1970s in the form of plush fabrics, wooden flooring, polished brass and geometric patterns. Texture, colour and light are all carefully layered and combined to produce a high-low mix of both retro glamour and modern design codes.

The space has been engineered to provide a highly sonic experience to both audience and artist; and as with the rest of the Club, will set the stage to nurture and showcase local, regional and musical talent.

Vega is well equipped with full soundproofing, floor-to-wall acoustic treatment and digital stereo sound, which transmit a completely lossless audio experience from source to speaker, ensuring that the integrity of the music remains completely uncompromised. Playing modern dance music with a focus on afro tech, melodic house and new disco, Vega showcases a customised sound system, dazzling lighting rig, purpose-built DJ suite, VIP area and dedicated cocktail bar.

“This new space is the final glorious piece of our Club opening,” says Ajaz Sheikh, CEO of The Arts Club Dubai. “A destination in its own right, the fifth floor offers yet another layer of experience for our Members, complementing the plethora of lounges, restaurants and terraces we already have.”
