Belfast’s newest boutique hotel The Bedford has unveiled its commercial team – a major step forward in the multi-million pound transformation of the historic Scottish Mutual Building ahead of its early 2026 opening.
The senior leadership team brings together expertise across sales, marketing, and revenue management. Ensuring this historic property launches as one of Northern Ireland’s most prestigious destinations, the commercial team will be key to driving revenue.
The appointments include:
- Yvonne McIlree, Director of Sales and Marketing
- Sharon Dunne, Revenue Manager
- Victoria Dunn, Reservations Manager
- Clodagh Flood, Hotel Marketing Executive
Mike Gatt, General Manager of The Bedford, said: “The creation of our commercial team is a hugely exciting milestone for The Bedford. Each appointment brings exceptional knowledge of the hospitality market in Northern Ireland, and together we are laying the foundations for long-term success. Our ambition is not just to open a hotel, but to grow a team that will deliver excellence for our guests, our partners, and for Belfast as a destination. This is the beginning of a journey we are incredibly proud to lead.”
Supported by hospitality management company Focus Hotels, the renovation will see the 1904 Edwardian building transformed into a boutique hotel, featuring 82 bedrooms, a destination restaurant, private dining spaces, and a café bar. The Bedford is set to become a premier destination for unforgettable occasions, blending Belfast’s rich heritage with exquisite craftsmanship and contemporary design. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, The Bedford offers a unique setting where every moment becomes truly memorable.
Situated in the Linen Quarter close to Belfast City Hall, The Bedford forms part of the wider regeneration of the city centre and is expected to enrich Belfast’s growing appeal as a world-class visitor destination.
