The Newman, the first hotel from new international hospitality management company, Kinsfolk & Co, is delighted to announce Oliver Milne-Watson as General Manager ahead of its opening in Winter 2024.

Sitting on its namesake Newman Street in Fitzrovia, The Newman fits effortlessly into London’s creative village of Fitzrovia where the culture of Bloomsbury meets the style of Soho. The contemporary hotel with 81 rooms and suites, European brasserie, cocktail bar, and wellness floor, is set to be an instant new destination for the neighbourhood.

Oliver Milne-Watson

Hotelier Oliver Milne-Watson has built over 15 years of hospitality experience in luxury London hotels such as The Goring and The Beaumont, and internationally as a consultant with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA).

Since 2020, Mr Milne-Watson held a Director of Operations role at Penshee, working with companies across multiple industries, from London estates to law firms and hospitality groups. He supported these businesses in understanding the emotional intelligence behind world-class service.

Prior to this, Mr Milne-Watson spent five years at The Goring in Belgravia, before opening The Beaumont in Mayfair where he worked his way up to Hotel Manager through various senior commercial and operational roles. During his tenure at The Beaumont, this independent hotel quickly established itself as an international favourite, receiving multiple industry awards and guest recognition.

Mr Milne-Watson said: “I am delighted to be at the helm of The Newman ahead of our launch next year, and through this exciting time of growth for the wider Kinsfolk & Co brand. We aim to create a go-to destination in Fitzrovia, offering a grown-up and elevated, yet fun, experience where guests will be able to enjoy thoughtful excellence across design, service, food, and wellness.”
