Tiny Rebel unveils its new brewery and bar

Named UK Brewery of the Year in the International Beer Challenge, Tiny Rebel will run regular tours and host events including festivals, pop-ups and live music alongside private functions – giving fans the chance to enjoy its award-winning beer on its home turf.

Including an event space for up to 400 people, the new site has a full kitchen and bar service.

Glass fronted, and on two levels of event space, the bar area overlooks the brewhouse itself – allowing visitors to see their favourite beer, such as Cwtch, Champion Beer of Britain 2015, being made as they enjoy the finished product.

A range of menus – including everything from buffets to brunch – have been created by executive chef Rickie Ash, who oversees food across all three of Tiny Rebel’s bars.

Situated just outside of Newport City Centre, the new brewery is predicted to become a popular ‘hidden gem’ for the increasingly foodie city. The Sunday lunches are set to be popular with locals and visitors alike.

“After the success of our two bars in Cardiff and Newport, we’re really excited to have even more space to share with the people who love our beer,” says Gazz Williams, co-founder.

“With the new brewery up and running, we’re going to be able to make even more beer – up to nine million pints a year – both old favourites and new limited editions alike.”

Brad Cummings, co-founder of Tiny Rebel, adds: “In less than 5 years we have gone from home-brewing in a garage to a purpose-built and world-class facility.

“What was most important to us was to create a space for people to enjoy what Tiny Rebel represents. But we’ll also be able to increase the breadth of what we can produce as well as be able to support continued growth from our new home.”

The award-winning brewer has been producing beer at the site since January 2017. A new can line of core range beers includes Cwtch, Cali and Clwb Tropicana.

The new site is situated in Rogerstone, in between Pye Corner and Rogerstone train stations, making it easy to get to from Cardiff and only three miles from Newport City Centre.
