Warren Sheets Design reveals core concept for Fairmont Austin

Warren Sheets Design (WSD), interior designer for Fairmont Austin, has unveiled an early preview of its resplendent guest rooms, ahead of the highly-anticipated opening of the 37-story luxury hotel slated for Summer 2017.

According to WSD’s Warren Sheets, the rooms are steeped in Austin’s inimitable blend of cosmopolitan modernity and the bold attitude of the American West.

“We designed them to capture vital facets of the city,” he says. “Each of the Fairmont Austin guest rooms features as its centerpiece a spacious bed of blissfully comfortable mattress, duvet, and pillows, enveloped in premium thread count linens of crisp Dover white embroidered with blue border detail.”

Inspired by the region’s Hill Country landscape, Warren imbued the 400 square foot space and its nine-foot high ceilings with a radiant contemporary look of sleek lines and geometric shapes in the colors of Austin parks’ terrain and bright expansive skies.

Hues of pure white, meridian blue, Versace copper, and beige render comfort and warmth, made all the richer with the iridescent textures of Ebony, bookmatch quarter sawn, rift cut White Oak, Zebra wood and premium Cherry wood veneers.

Refined details are prominent in the custom-designed cut and loop pile carpeting with 6″ stripes of deep water regatta blue and gossamer gold, the ultra chic credenza, and the sophisticated chaise longue.

The deep blue draperies that frame the floor-to-ceiling windows sparkle with woven gold and silver thread, simulating a starry night and provides the means to  darken the room or reveal spectacular views of the city skyline, the State Capitol and Lady Bird Lake.

An elegant three-panel door inlaid with frosted glass leads to a sophisticated bath showcasing the generous-sized walk-in shower, separate water closet, and a custom designed vanity in a tobacco cerused oak finish and pearl white quartz top with a backlit mirror, a magnifying mirror with LED lights, and furnished with plush cotton robes, lavish towels, as well as a selection of fine quality bath, beauty and grooming products.

With an unrivaled level of service, Fairmont Austin will provide a range of in-room amenities that include WiFi, state-of-the-art flat-screen HDTV, bedside usb and electrical device charging hub, dual line phones with individualized voicemail, personalized wall safe, Keurig coffee maker and teapot.

The rooms are further distinguished by vivid depictions of Austin life through the lens of esteemed local photographer John R. Rogers.
