Four Seasons Hong Kong has been undergoing an exciting transformation that will further elevate its luxury offering.
Part of the International Finance Centre (IFC) complex in the heart of the city’s Central district, this striking hotel originally opened in 2005. Today, the property boasts an impressive seven Michelin stars and a luxury spa, creating the ultimate urban escape.
With architecture by Rocco Design, and interior design by a host of talented firms, the hotel is characterised by its magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary design aesthetic. Its renovation has thus far been completed in two phases – phase one being the transformation of its arrival experience and guest accommodation last summer, and phase two entailing the launch of its new bar, ARGO, and lobby cafe, Gallery.
Situated within a raised area and separated from the main reception by a set of elevated steps, Gallery offers a cosy nook away from the hustle and bustle beneath. Centred around a large spiral staircase, this chic casual dining venue serves comforting western dishes with local flair.
The highlight of the space from a design perspective is a wonderful bespoke floating crystal sculpture created in collaboration with Czech glassmaker, Lasvit. Lit from within, it was inspired by the way in which the sunlight and city lights sparkle on the water of Victoria Harbour.
Shining brightly in the stark daylight, the installation provides guests with a sense of vivid privacy. Lasvit developed a special type of glass for the sculpture that is fused, double-sided and sandblasted.
Lasvit’s timeless Flux collection, developed with AB Concept, can be found throughout the hotel’s interior.
