International textile designer and manufacturer Camira will showcase its pioneering environmental textiles for The Sustainable Hotel at HIX 2025, highlighting a curated selection of fabrics designed to support sustainability, human health, and modern hospitality interiors.
As part of its HIX presentation, Camira will offer visitors a first look at the Lumis Collection, the company’s inaugural sheers collection made from recycled polyester, marking a soft launch ahead of its full release next year.
Lynn Kingdon, Creative Director at Camira, said: “We’re proud to present our environmental textile innovations for The Sustainable Hotel at HIX. Today’s hotels demand textiles that support their sustainability ambitions while delivering long-lasting performance and beautiful aesthetics. Our latest developments are designed to meet those needs. We’re also delighted to offer a first glimpse at the Lumis Collection, our very first sheers collection, which perfectly complements our existing environmental ranges.”
For more than three decades, Camira has been at the forefront of sustainable textile innovation. The company introduced its first recycled fabrics in the 1990s and has since developed fabrics combining natural wool with plant-based fibres such as hemp, flax, and nettle, delivering inherent, chemical-free flame retardancy. Camira has also advanced circularity in the industry with textiles made from ocean-found plastic waste and textile-to-textile recycled fabrics, transforming waste fabric into high-performance, design-led textiles.
Camira’s textiles are designed for upholstery, curtains, headboards, and accessories, all engineered to meet Crib 5 flame retardancy standards and performance requirements for high-traffic hospitality spaces.
Visitors can experience Camira’s Sustainable Hotel presentation at Stand 52, Business Design Centre, London, on 26–27 November 2025.
