Capella Hotel Group has offered a glimpse of Capella Dubai, set to open in 2030 on the Dubai Peninsula in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The 115-key hotel will include a collection of suites with private pools, culminating in a 600-square-metre Capella Suite conceived as a residential-style retreat. Developed by H&H and designed by world-renowned Denniston, the hotel will introduce Capella’s curated approach to hospitality to Dubai, with experiences shaped by the city’s culture and character.
Set along where the Dubai Water Canal meets the Arabian Sea, Dubai Peninsula is a 210-acre waterfront destination by H&H. Conceived as a first-of-its-kind, design-driven destination, it brings together globally renowned hotel brands and exceptional private residences, complemented by dining, retail, a superyacht marina, a kilometre of private beach and over two million square feet of botanical gardens.
Five venues will bring the social life of Capella Dubai to the waterfront, from the lobby lounge and The Living Room to the signature restaurant. Above it all, the rooftop will be home to a specialty restaurant and destination bar, creating a breathtaking setting for dining against the Dubai skyline.
Stretching nearly 70 metres across the rooftop, the pool will offer a tranquil retreat above the city, with single and double cabanas designed for unhurried days by the water. At beach level, a family pool and Little Stars, the brand’s dedicated children’s club, will cater to younger guests and families.
Capella Wellness will offer a holistic approach to wellbeing, encompassing the Auriga Spa, a Fitness Centre and Mind Body Studio, and an outdoor fitness area. Auriga Spa will feature male and female treatment rooms, a co-ed suite and VIP suite, alongside a hammam, hydrotherapy circuit pool, two biohacking facilities and grooming services. Dedicated relaxation lounges will offer quiet spaces to pause before and after treatments.
For celebrations and gatherings, Capella Dubai will offer a spacious ballroom with a pre-function lounge, complemented by two meeting rooms, a VIP Majlis and an outdoor event lawn. Together, they will offer a range of elegant settings for intimate gatherings, milestone celebrations and business occasions.
At the heart of Capella Dubai will be the Living Room, Capella’s signature sanctuary and the home of its Culturists. Where a concierge might offer recommendations, the Culturists will take the time to know each guest personally, drawing on their knowledge of Dubai and its neighbourhoods to reveal a deeper side of the city.
Roland Fasel, President, Capella Hotel Group, said: “As Capella grows beyond Asia Pacific into the Middle East and Europe, we are entering an important new chapter for the brand. The Middle East shares our appreciation for craftsmanship, culture and exceptional service, making it a natural home for Capella.”
Shahab Lutfi, Chairman, H&H said: “Working alongside Denniston, we are bringing hospitality, architecture and landscape together from the outset, ensuring that each responds to the setting and contributes to a coherent vision. For us, the strength of Dubai Peninsula lies in the way its different elements come together, from its shoreline and central park to its collection of hospitality and residential offerings. Capella’s distinctive character will be an important part of that mix, shaping a destination that feels considered, cohesive and different.”
