Center Parcs reveals hospitality plans for new Woburn Forest village

Center Parcs has revealed the restaurants and cafes that will bring family-friendly dining to the new Woburn Forest village, Bedfordshire, when it opens in spring 2014.

Exclusive to Woburn Forest will be The Shearing House restaurant, a new concept for Center Parcs that has been specifically designed for the new village. Its name is inspired by the area’s sheep-shearing heritage.

The restaurant is a spacious, contemporary environment with a number of different zones. Guests will be able to socialise indoors on large sofas, or share platters at the communal kitchen tables. The outdoor terrace is ideal for taking in the panoramic views of the forest.

Martin Dalby, chief executive at Center Parcs UK, comments: “We want to make it easy for families to sit down together and enjoy each other’s company whilst on holiday, which is why we design each of our villages to provide great spaces for this. Woburn Forest is no different – we’ve taken what we have learnt over the last 25 years, together with what our guests have told us, to design a modern dining environment in the heart of the forest for all the family.

“We have also introduced a brand-new restaurant, which we are very excited about. Creating a space for families to eat together is always key, as well as providing a variety of meal options so that every member of the family can choose something they can enjoy. From sharing menus to communal dining areas, we think this restaurant will be perfect for guests of all ages and will complement our existing restaurant concepts.”

Family favourites from the business’ four other villages will also feature at Woburn Forest, including The Pancake House, Huck’s American Diner and The Canopy Café and Bar in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise.

Woburn Forest will be Center Parcs’ fifth UK village, and will comprise 625 forest lodges, a 75-bedroom hotel and spa with six associated spa suites and two leisure buildings. The village will also include outdoor sports and leisure facilities and a lake.
