Club Stripes from Linwood is a carefully considered range of designs which offers a fresh interpretation of striped upholstery, curtaining and furnishing accessories. The range comprises nine designs across 41 colourways, ranging from vintage ochres and reds, to cornflower yellows and vibrant Wedgewood blue hues. Each pattern is printed onto a generously weighted linen union base cloth, which is soft to the touch and ideally suited for drapery and upholstery.
Experimenting with different stripe configurations, and toying with space and repeat patterns, these designs offer a striking take on an English classic. This lived-in, yet traditional look pays homage to the old gentleman’s clubs of bygone eras that formed the central inspiration behind the collection.
“We have a number of beautiful vintage stripes dating as far back as the 1800s in the Linwood design archive,” says head of design, Ella Richards. “With a resurgence of people looking to bring colour back into the home, we couldn’t wait to reproduce these designs in a broad range of colours.
“This collection of rich and jewel tones work perfectly with their neutral counterparts. I feel we have managed to reproduce an antiqued look, and have our original designs brought to life again, thanks to the effects modern print techniques afford.”
