Mosa has supplied tiles from two of its leading ranges – Terra Maestricht and Terra Tones – for a design-led swimming pool in Mechelen, Belgium. Quality, aesthetics and sustainability were among the key factors of the project.
As a Cradle to Cradle certified ceramic tile manufacturer, Mosa was selected to meet the strict requirements and high standards set by the department of Antwerp that was the sponsor/bidder of the De Nekker swimming pool. Working with the architect, Amsterdam-based VenhoevenCS, Mosa supplied tiles for the ceramic facade and largest part of the interior.
Over 1600m² of Terra Tones tiles were used for the facade, while Terra Maestricht tiles adorn the interior. The products are available in two surface finishes – one a smooth matt with a fine-grained, almost powder-like surface, and the other with a relief structure and more robust appearance. The tiles’ durability makes them ideal for exerior applications and wet areas.
Alongside the De Nekker project, Mosa has completed a range of spas and swimming pools in hotels and sports accommodations worldwide, in countries such as Sweden, the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and the USA.
