Visitors to the newly-built Everyman Leeds cinema will now be welcomed by a bespoke navy and gold pinstripe carpet from Lano Flooring Solutions. Approximately 2000m² of the carpet weaves through the floors of the foyer and cinema screens, bringing style and a sense of occasion to the venue interiors.
Everyman Leeds required an elegant yet high-performance carpet for the new location. The brand turned to Lano Flooring Solutions owing to its service and design flexibiliy, having worked with the company on two other Everyman venues.
A striking pinstripe design was selected to create a smart aesthetic with classic cinematic style, bringing a touch of Hollywood glamour to the contemporary setting. With endless design possibilities offered by the in-house creative consultancy service at Lano Flooring Solutions, the exact pattern and rich colourways needed to complement the decor of Everyman Leeds was transformed into a high-quality 10-row Axminster woven carpet with exceptional levels of performance and durability.
With a dense construction in 80% wool and 20% polyamide, the bespoke carpet offers a supremely comfortable feel underfoot, and noise reduction with acoustic absorption properties. Classed as suitable for heavy commercial usage, the hardwearing carpet is easy to maintain to ensure an attractive and comfortable setting for the cinema visitors for years to come.
“Everyman Leeds wanted to create a unique environment which felt special, luxurious and exciting and so only a custom carpet design would do,” says Rick Hudson from Fusion Design and Architecture, which was responsible for specifying the carpet. “The end product delivered on all aspects of the brief – quality, flexibility of design, and competitive pricing.”
