Polyrey’s exotic addition at the Taj Palace

On-trend Reysipur compact-grade laminates from Polyrey have brought interior style and high performance as part of the distinctive refurbishment of the ladies and gentleman’s washrooms at the Taj Palace, a leading Indian wedding venue in Birmingham.

Bringing an exotic element to the contemporary washroom design – which features futuristic blue down lighting – the cool hues of pale Banian Blanchi B100 and the sultry dark Banian Noirci B101 wood-effect laminates create a modern design statement for cubicle divisions and sink splashbacks. Selected from the Origine collection, the laminates complement the minimalistic sink and tap fittings yet add a touch of warmth by capturing the visual natural grain texture of wood.

Specified by Nigel Tipper, key account manager at Cubicle Systems, the laminates’ modern aesthetic played a key part in their inclusion. Nigel explains: “I always specify Polyrey whenever possible – the great designs are pleasing to the eye, modern and in keeping with current trends. The fact that matching melamine-faced board and high-pressure laminates are also easily available in a number of designs alongside the compact-grade laminate offers fantastic flexibility, meaning there is always a suitable product for every design project.”

As well as offering a sophisticated design solution, Reysipur compact-grade laminates are particularly suited to high-traffic environments at which hygienic and highly-durable surfaces are required on a day-to-day basis.

With inherent antibacterial sanitised qualities, the durable silver ion-treated laminates create practical, moisture-resistant surfaces that can be easily and safely maintained – even with chemical and household products. The washrooms’ attractive aesthetic is also safeguarded, as the laminates are resistant to cracks, scratches, abrasion and impact, and are colour fast under artificial light.

Nigel continues: “Our client was extremely pleased with the finished outcome. The patterns of the Polyrey Reysipur laminates blended in perfectly with the new washrooms, which have certainly appealed to the clientele of the Taj Palace.”
