In response to the rising demand for floor-level shower surfaces suitable for a range of target groups and budgets, Kaldewei has now launched the Scona collection, while its new Meisterstücke collection of free-standing baths is already proving popular within the industry.

Available in nine sizes from 80 x 80cm through to 140 x 90cm – Scona is a highly flexible solution for a variety of spatial requirements.
The round waste cover in dead centre and the slight sloping of the shower surface stand are contrasted by the geometric exterior of the designs to form the characteristic Kaldewei aesthetic.
Formed from 3.5mm steel, Scona possesses excellent hygiene and cleaning properties, is highly resilient and exceptionally durable. Even after intensive use and cleaning, the enamelled shower surface looks just as good as new, and comes with a 30-year guarantee.
Along with the popular bathroom colours, Kaldewei offers the Scona shower surface in the exclusive matt colours of the Coordinated Colours Collection. The enamelled shower surface therefore blends harmoniously with natural surfaces such as wood and stone.
The flush waste cover of the Kaldewei Scona is optionally available in Chrome, Alpine White, Black, or in the shades of the Coordinated Colours Collection to match the shower surface.
Special features – such as anti-slip or full anti-slip coating for extra comfortable and safe showering, or the Kaldewei easy-care finish for effortless cleaning – are also available.
Also new to Kaldewei’s portfolio is the Meisterstücke collection – featuring striking free-standing baths with enamelled panelling. Geared towards the high-end housing market and operators of five-star hotels, the collection is characterised by its clear lines and puristic styling.
Initially, three popular bath designs will be offered in Alpine White: The Meisterstück Centro Duo Oval is available in two sizes – 170 x 75cm and 180 x 80cm, while the Meisterstück Conoduo is available in a 170 x 75cm format, and the Asymmetric Duo bath icon measures 170 x 80 cm.
All baths in the Meisterstücke collection are provided with Kaldewei’s easy-care finish as standard. The models are available with optional features to enhance the individual bathing experience, including the new Sound Wave bath audio system with the bath acting as the sound box.
Other special features include the Kaldewei whirl system Vivo Vita for pure, all-round relaxation or the Kaldewei electronic controls Comfort Select.
The collection has already been met with a positive reception as, ahead of its official launch, the Meisterstück Centro Duo Oval has been awarded the prestigious “Interior Innovation Award – Best of Best 2014″ by the German Design Council. The award recognises the extraordinary innovative spirit and pioneering design of the new free-standing baths.
