At Best Western’s recent Annual Members Conference, Beacon launched a new and exclusive design service for all Best Western customers. Room in a Box offers Best Western hoteliers a practical, high quality and affordable design solution.

The new service has been launched by Beacon, which helps businesses in the hospitality sector improve their profitability, in partnership with Dakota House of Design, and offers six designs, in a variety of colour schemes and patterns, giving hoteliers 18 different options to choose from. The designs have been created specifically with Best Western hotels in mind; aiming to support Best Western hotels show their personality through design whilst meeting the required high standards.

Best Western members will be able to browse CGIs and digital mood boards, allowing them to choose one, or a mixture of the designs, depending on requirements. Each room has been developed to ensure that hotels can be confident that their furniture, fixtures and fittings (FF&E) budget is closely controlled.

The schemes give hotels flexibility to choose local contractors for installation, or work with Beacon, which offers a full installation package on request. The designs have been created using a neutral colour palette as a base, with personality and flair introduced through carpets, artwork, lighting and soft furnishings.

Beacon, and it’s design partner, Dakota House of Design, have worked together to create contemporary and traditional designs for the Room in a Box service, drawing inspiration and key products from industry-leading Beacon suppliers including Panaz, Bourne Furniture, Chelsom, Skopos, Hammer Carpets, Curtis, Robena and Kobe. Hoteliers will be able to purchase directly from suppliers listed on the specification sheet provided or work with the Beacon team to manage the purchasing of all products needed to complete the design.

“Beacon has worked tirelessly alongside the Best Western Quality Assurance team to produce an outstanding design solution for our hotels,” says Matthew Ward, quality assurance manager, Best Western Great Britain.

“Across the country, Best Western hoteliers are looking for an easy-to-implement room scheme that helps them adhere to our brand standards, whilst maintaining their individual personalities – and these new schemes deliver just that. I am confident that our hotels will not only embrace this new initiative, but enjoy the financial and reputational benefits that newly refurbished rooms bring to their properties.”

“This has been a really exciting project to develop with our design partner, Dakota, and it was fantastic to be able to launch Room in a Box at this year’s Best Western AMC,” adds Chris Johnson, design services manager at Beacon.

“This is a brand new service for our Best Western customers to ensure bedroom designs meet the high standards required by the brand. Although this is not a bespoke design service, it does offer hoteliers a level of flexibility in terms of colours and patterns to ensure their hotel boasts the personality and flair that Best Western hotels are known and loved for.”
