Ulster Carpets is proud to have recently completed two major projects in two very different locations. Striking bespoke axminster carpets were carefully designed and woven at Ulster Carpets’ County Armagh factory, before being despatched to their glamorous new surroundings in two of the world’s most exciting cities.
The first was a beautiful traditional design inspired by the opulent space to which it was destined, the Lancaster Ballroom at the Savoy Hotel, London. Working closely with esteemed Paris Design House, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Ulster Carpets created a classical design which featured attractive urn motifs and a central rug as a focal point of the luxurious London venue. The rich golds and blues complement perfectly the existing Parisien Salon-inspired interior scheme.
In a stark contrast to the traditional feeling of the Savoy, a number of different contemporary carpet designs was laid at the brand new, five star, Sofitel Dubai Downtown. Located in the heart of Downtown overlooking Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, Ulster Carpets worked with Wilson Associates (Dallas, USA) to create designs which complement and adorn the Op Art-inspired interior.
The carpets make a bold statement and evoke a sense of fun, while still maintaining the feeling of quality and luxury expected from a bespoke axminster by Ulster Carpets
