Austrian fittings manufacturer, Julius Blum GmbH, presented a range of innovative fittings solutions that bring enhanced user convenience at Sicam 2013 in Pordenone, Italy, in October. Blum’s fittings are designed to inspire both furniture manufacturers and end users.
The highlights of Blum’s presentation at Sicam 2013 included the Aventos HK-XS, a new addition to Blum’s lift systems. The product nicely rounds off the existing programme, which comprises the Aventos HF for bi-fold fronts; Aventos HS for large fronts and those with cornice and crown mouldings; Aventos HL to conceal electrical appliances; and Aventos HK and Aventos HK-S for modern stay lifts.
Aventos HK-XS is based on a new kind of construction, and is ideal for installation above refrigerators and larder units or for cabinets with little depth.
Clip top Blumotion, the hinge with integrated soft close, comes in a wide range of models. The hinge is now also available with an opening angle of 107°. The new hinge ideally complements the existing programme, and inspires users with a boss drilling depth of 11.5mm. As such, the product can be used for door thicknesses of just 15mm.
