Named in honour of British inventor James Dyson, the 3000m² Dyson Building – part of the Royal College of Art (RCA) situated in Battersea, London – is the new home of the college’s printmaking and photography facility.
For the building’s washroom facilities, project architect Haworth Tompkins specified Kemmlit‘s Classic Cell cubicle system in a brushed stainless-steel finish.
Classic Cell offers straight, profiled lines, and features 42mm-thick smooth surfaced welted doors and sound-reducing floor-to-ceiling dividing partitions. The system’s concealed edges and recessed leg supports offer an elegant yet functional design that creates an impression of the cubicles floating above the floor without support.
Classic Cell is available in a range of colours and finishes. Kemmlit’s range is available exclusively in the UK from Skirmett Washrooms, which offers a design, project management and installation service.
