Whether minimalist or elegant – the precise design language of the series allows individually tailored design options to be brought to life. This design style has been interpreted in a variety of ways, for example in the projects Twelve Senses Retreat, Walzmu?hle site loft houses, StrandridergaÌrden, Burghotel Falkenstein, and Villa Copenhagen. The ambience of Luv engenders a sense of wellbeing, which the Danish designer Cecilie Manz describes as “sheer coziness”. “Natural, uncomplicated, and unobtrusive” – this feeling is enhanced by the generation of colors she designed exclusively for Duravit with matte lacquers and glazes in soft shades.
“There’s a piece of nature within Luv”, Cecilie Manz. The range was partly inspired by the aesthetic of a pebble smoothed to a round shape by sea currents and the sand. Gentle forms follow a stringent geometry.
