LICHT lighting collaboration from Cerno and ICRAVE

Cerno and ICRAVE have partnered to release new lighting collection LICHT.

Comprised of two pendant lights, Ignis and Imber, the collection is the result of a rigorous design process by two progressive studios practicing in distinct disciplines.

“When design collaborations work well, you get the best from everyone involved, and I think that’s the case here,” says said Lionel Ohayon, founder and CEO of ICRAVE.

“By leveraging the cross disciplinary expertise of both teams, we challenged ourselves to execute on the highest level of performance.”

The two companies began collaborating in 2013, creating custom fixtures for the Cameron Mitchell-owned Ocean Prime in Beverly Hills. Sharing a deep passion and energy for the design process, the two immediately clicked. What began with napkin sketches has now evolved into a fully resolved collection of products ready for market.

“Our design process is often centered around providing creative lighting solutions and filling voids in the marketplace. When collaborating with ICRAVE, they helped educate us about those voids,” said Bret Englander, director of sales and marketing at Cerno.

An industrial design and manufacturing company, Cerno has quickly earned a reputation for its uncompromised commitment to well-crafted lighting products.

The Ignis and Imber pendants are composed of natural materials and constructed in a minimal yet expressive assembly.

The Ignis’ detailed three-legged wooden support frame holds the shade together. The shade of its sister design, Imber, makes it appear as if it has slid down the frame, exposing more frame at its top.

Both pendants are available in a wide range of finish options, from distressed brass and glossy white shades, to walnut and maple wood frames. They are fully dimmable with either LED or incandescent light sources, and are available in two sizes – 24in and 17in shades.

The Ignis and Imber lighting fixtures will be available through YLighting and all of Cerno’s sales channels.

“YLighting was Cerno’s first major online retailer. They took a chance on us when we only had a few SKUs and were not well known,” says Englander. “YLighting’s team understands our DNA and will be an ideal retailer to launch this partnership.”http://www.cernogroup.com
