MK Electric introduces a new revolution in electrical accessories

The new Elements Collection from MK Electric comprises dimmers, switches and sockets which are as aesthetic as the wallcoverings and provide ‘silent’ switching and dimming at the touch of a finger.

Three years of research and a huge investment have led to the development of this dynamic collection, which has been inspired by the cool, clean lines of contemporary design.

With the Elements Collection, designers can customise the look of their wiring device, choosing from a huge range of colours, materials and finishes. MK’s bespoke design service – which offers thousands of choices – adds minimal lead times and allows designers to specify electrical accessories which fit the style and expression of a room.

From cool stone effects – such as beach pebble – to warm woods and leathers, the pioneering range of decorative electrical accessories provides for accent, contrast or concealment. Adding to the aesthetic appeal, slim fascia profiles and crisp, clean edges offer a purity of form.

Even the standard Elements Collection range offers vast possibilities: four material groups – Synthetics, Glass Effect, Metallics and Naturals – in 16 finishes and over 180 devices.

At launch, the collection comprises socket outlets, plate switches, grid modules and front plates for Euro modular applications. A locator/ indicator welcomes guests into the room, and touch technology can offer a distinctive user experience; switches are available as electronic touch or mechanically operated, depending on type.

In line with MK’s ethos and tradition, all four aesthetic choices combine ground-breaking design with functional excellence. The installation process has been carefully designed to minimise the risk of damage and tests have shown the Elements collection to have some of the most robust finishes on the market.

High-end design has not compromised safety – all fascias are impact-resistant and all sockets feature an enhanced version of the company’s pioneering three-pin safety shutters. This makes the range one of the safest on the market, exceeding current standards.

Here are the four material groups in the Elements range:

Elements Synthetics takes its cues from the natural landscape, and offers finishes such as Chalk White, Beach Pebble and Natural Stone. These subtle, contemporary finishes provide a discreet, harmonious complement to any setting.

Elements Glass Effect finishes challenge all previous conceptions of what represents a switch, socket or dimmer. Sleek, glossy and smart, the innovative designs – which include touch technology among their appeal – offer refreshing coolness in Ice White and the pure touch of Polished Jade, Polished Onyx and Polished Stone.

Elements Metallics provide yet another example of MK’s innovative thinking. Muted tones and masculine textures deliver a sense of exclusivity in Satin Platinum and Satin Titanium, while Brushed Steel, Cast Iron and Brushed Bronze re-define the nature of practical and industrial in interiors.

Elements Naturals brings the familiar hues of wood to life in the graceful patterns of British Oak and Dark Wenge. The same organic influence is also expressed in Cream Hide and Dark Hide, which both share the same classic character.

“Contemporary interior design calls for every component of a room to contribute to the overall aesthetic,” says Jason Ng, MK Electric marketing communications specialist. “In developing the Elements Collection we wanted to combine unique aesthetic appeal with new functionality and enhanced durability. We think this range offers something new to hotel design.”

The MK Elements Collection is an ultimate choice in stylish, chic electrical accessories. It takes an ordinary product and transforms it into an inspirational design device, allowing designers to take contemporary interiors to the next level.
