Woven Image has collaborated with Australian-based studio, bangdesign, to create a series of pentagon-inspired interior textile designs.
When bangdesign set about cooking up the humble pentagon into a range of new textile combinations, the idea was to create visuals that play with the eye and the mind.
They were inspired by cellular structures in leaves, cracked glass, the cracked glaze of Celadon ceramics, broken earth and cloud formations.
Out of the 60+ concepts bangdesign developed, Woven Image chose to run with a range of disparate designs and produce a range of fabrics, wall coverings and stencil-cut EchoPanels.
Cellular, for example, is a peel ‘n’ stick 12mm acoustic panel featuring organic, pentagram-shaped cut-outs. It is designed for patern repeat along large partitioning surfaces and can be easily trimmed to fnish.
Cut-outs can be filled with fve-sided fellow Penta tile, in varying colours, to create striking puzzle effects.
Mura Glow, on the other hand, is a non-woven wall covering and acoustic solution by bangdesign for Woven Image. Featuring the tessellated pentagram patern in a solid line over gradient layers creating a luminous glow through the line-work. Available in 10 colourways.
