With its long-established manufacturing base in China, Distinction has control of the entire production process. The company takes great care in making sure that its products adhere to rigorous European standards, with the cost advantages of manufacturing in the Far East.
The company’s Hong Kong office specialises in quality control, packaging and logistics, while the main London office houses experienced teams comprising project managers and administrators, which make sure that each project is delivered on time, to budget and is managed through to installation if the client requires.

The manufacturer has recently been awarded one of the prestigious contracts for providing over 2000 bespoke wardrobe units to the QDD Olympic Village legacy development in Stratford, East London.
Distinction’s bathrooms division has grown rapidly in the last few years. This year, the manufacturer won a contract to supply a prestigious four-star, 319-bedroom deluxe hotel in West London, which is due to open next year.
For this project, Distinction has supplied marble vanity tops, marble tiles with porcelain backing and bespoke-sized mirrors to designer specifications. In addition, the company provided its own bespoke frameless sliding-door shower screen system, which has become a signature product of the Distinction bathroom range.
Distinction’s capabilities are extensive. Another signature product that is a success with its customers – and, more importantly, the end user – is its pocket-sprung mattress, President. The mattress can be made to all sizes and contains individual pocket springs, which work independently to provide total body support. Distinction’s extensive manufacturing experience has also been successfully applied to a number of cafes and restaurants, including those of a Michelin Star standard, as well as trend-setting bar projects. This year, Distinction will be exhibiting at The Independent Hotel Show and Sleep, which will see the introduction of several new pieces to its collections.
Highlights include the addition of a new Tuscan chair and stool to the company’s seating range, as well as a variety of high-tech carbon fibre furniture pieces. With soft, inviting curved lines and edges, these products offer a comfortable seating choice for any restaurant or bar area. Both are available in an array of fabrics and leathers.
