A modern Andalusian retreat at Finca La Bobadilla

Set across 350 hectares in the Sierra de Loja, Finca La Bobadilla offers a fresh take on rural hospitality. Just 40 minutes from Málaga, Granada and Córdoba, the 73-key estate is more than a luxury stay, it’s a place to experience Andalusian culture, nature and community in a relaxed, immersive way.

The design is inspired by the traditional cortijo, but reimagined as a small whitewashed village. Buildings are connected by arched walkways, courtyards and quiet plazas, with fountains adding movement and sound. The layout encourages guests to wander, while always feeling connected to the surrounding olive groves, vineyards and pine forests.

Rooms and suites are individually designed, using natural materials like wood, marble and terracotta. The look is simple and warm, allowing the countryside views to stand out. Many rooms include private terraces or gardens, and some feature working fireplaces, adding to the sense of comfort and escape.

Food is a key part of the experience. The estate offers several dining spaces, including the well-known La Finca Restaurant, which helped put the region on the culinary map. Menus focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, bringing a modern approach to traditional Andalusian flavours.

Wellness is another important element. The Flow Spa includes a heated indoor pool, sauna, hammam and treatment rooms, designed as a calm, light-filled space. Outdoor yoga and wellness retreats make the most of the natural setting, creating a strong connection between wellbeing and the landscape.

Activities across the estate are designed for all ages. Guests can explore by horse, bike or on foot, join 4×4 tours, or play tennis and padel. There’s also a small farm for children, adding a hands-on, family-friendly touch. Three outdoor pools and large gardens provide space to relax.

Beyond the estate, guests are encouraged to visit nearby villages, local producers and the coastline, where the hotel also offers access to its own beach club.

By combining traditional design with modern comfort, Finca La Bobadilla creates a hospitality experience that feels both timeless and deeply connected to its setting
