Armourcoat sponsors the Eco, Design & Build hall at 100% Design

Decorative coatings specialist Armourcoat is sponsoring the Eco, Design & Build hall at 100% Design this September. The UK’s largest and longest running contemporary design event, 100% Design is celebrating its 20th edition this year – and the final year based at London’s Earl Court exhibition centre.

The 2014 Eco, Design & Build hall includes the central ‘materials landscape’ hub, designed and curated by Thomas Matthews in partnership with SCIN gallery. The hub aims to bring together the diverse areas of ecology, design and construction to discuss challenging and thought provoking industry issues. Experts will talk about varied projects from biological 3D printing with mushrooms to up-cycling car parks into bars and imagining a future without waste.

Also as part of the London Design Festival, Armourcoat will be exhibiting at Super Brands for the first time.  The company will present ArmourFX® – custom-made decorative wall panels, recently specified for use on the new Jaguar Land Rover ‘In Residence’ global exhibition stand programme. Designed by global creative business Imagination, the Jaguar Land Rover stand includes over 100 custom ArmourFX panels in a stone coloured polished plaster finish.  The prefinished panels offer a rapid installation with ease of handling, and also ensure the panels are quickly demounted at the end of the event.

At the same event, award-winning UK furniture designer Steuart Padwick will be presenting his ‘Eye of the Storm’ UHPC Ductal table created by Armourcoat. The Super Design Gallery moves into the rarefied world of low volume, high-end design. The premise for this space is to provide a showcase for museum quality pieces, reflecting demand in the market for authenticity and originality; a welcome slap in the face for the current period of austerity. 14 international designers will show in this year’s Super Design Gallery alongside Steuart Padwick including Lex Pott, David Derksen, Freshwest, Laura Kishimoto, Jake Phipps and Sekita Design Studio.

Super Brands – and its sister exhibition Tent – have has carved out an impressive reputation presenting the best contemporary design. The East London hub is well known for presenting extraordinary interiors products from established global brands, as well as international showcases and galleries.

Visit Armourcoat at stand 31, 18-21 September, Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London.
