Le Bistro Salmontini arrives at Le Royal Meridien, Abu Dhabi

Having delighted diners with coastal-inspired interiors at Salmontini Le Bistro in the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC,) Prospect Design International is making a splash once more, this time at Le Royal Méridien in Abu Dhabi.

Transforming the hotel’s current restaurant/café into an immersive dining destination, we drew inspiration from the Scottish sea, mountains and the country’s fishermen to design a cozy interior that reflects the prominence of salmon dishes on the menu.

To bring the eatery to life, we developed a distinct look and feel through the use of natural materials and finishes such as wood, marble, stone and glass. Our aim was to create a French bistro ambiance that evokes a sense of warmth and authenticity.

The result is an inviting venue spread across 2,000ft2, complete with a spacious counter for the live preparation of delicious salmon and sushi dishes, as well as an impressive bistro bar and back bar, and bespoke lighting suspended from the ceiling. And to top it all off, the entire indoor space connects to a 1,000ft2 terrace via large openings and stackable glass doors.

Hussni Ajlani, restaurateur and founder of Salmontini, says “Interior design tends to be mostly visual and spatial—not verbal….that being said, communication is still an extremely important part of the space. Salmontini – La Maison du Saumon’s statement serves as the conceptual foundation of our designs and helps give it a voice. Never assume that your design can speak for itself. Each designer has their own way of composing and formatting an interior design concept. With Prospect Design International, we made sure that statement is an integral part of Le Bistro’s identity. We are looking forward to creating more amazing concepts in the near future, together.”

Le Bistro represents a relaxed dining atmosphere, drawing inspiration from Salmontini’s illustrious 20-year history while focusing on delivering high-quality cuisine, generous portions and a diverse selection of reasonably priced beverages.
