Domes Novos, Santorini

Domes, Greece’s prestigious luxury lifestyle hospitality brand, has announced the opening of its latest hotel, Domes Novos Santorini. The architecturally striking, family-friendly hotel will boast 50 suites and two villas, each with its own private pool and terrace to capitalise on Santorini’s renowned sunsets and views across local vineyards and the Aegean Sea.

Kiros Pagkalidis Architects has fused Cycladic luxury with a sustainable approach, using local materials including volcanic stone and blonde oak to design a sophisticated and neutral palette of terracotta, fresh whites and ashy greys, punctuated with indoor/outdoor spaces for an airy atmosphere – stylish for individuals and couples, and appealing to families. Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, the five-star hotel and former flour mill on Giudecca island, has announced 24 new suites at the hotel. The new suites will span three categories and will enhance the existing suite inventory, resulting in the hotel now offering 45 suites. The new suites will include four new King Molino Family Suites, nine new King Molino Executive Suites, and eleven new King Molino Executive suites with a view of Venice. Each will feature a main bedroom along with a living area, with interconnecting options offering accommodation for couples, friends and families alike—and 32 of the total suites will also include a comfortable dining area.

The colour palates are calming and earthy, with creams and teals taking centre stage, to provide the ultimate sophisticated and tranquil retreat in Venice. The teal hues reflect the colours of Venice’s lagoon. Exposed wooden beams and brushed oak floors add warmth and pay homage to the building’s former life as a flour mill, while decadent details such as black lacquer tables by Chica and crystal chandeliers by Fortuny inject a dose of luxury. Meanwhile, bespoke ‘Toile de Venice’ Venetian fabric is used for wall screens.

References to the city of canals appear throughout; paintings by Grecale feature touches of gold resembling those found at St. Mark’s Basilica, while table and floor lamps by Italamp make use of Venetian Murano glass. The interior design has been created by Biagio Forino, who the hotel is collaborating with again, after he designed the iconic Molino Presidential Suite in 2019, which is the highest and largest suite in all of Venice.

Lucknam Park, Wiltshire, England

Elevating Lucknam Park’s culinary offerings to further heights, the hotel’s Brasserie has been restyled and refurbished into a beautiful new restaurant called Walled Garden Restaurant. The new restaurant will possess all the romance and serenity of an English country garden and offer a seasonal dining experience where local produce, such as spring lamb reared on the estate’s grounds, and ingredients supplied by the hotel’s kitchen garden take centre stage against the backdrop of flowering gardens.

Head Chef Alex Greene is the mastermind behind the new concept which takes the form of a sociable sharing plate experience during the day before transforming into an elegant evening a la carte experience

Walled Garden Restaurant will perfectly complement the Michelin-starred offering at Restaurant Hywel Jones, providing guests with a week-round, all-day dining destination.
