Young’s Pubs has announced the reopening of The Wheatsheaf in Esher, set to open its doors next month following an extensive refurbishment.
Located at Esher Green, the 159-cover pub has undergone a significant transformation to its interiors and garden space to elevate the local pub to meet the needs of guests, whilst still retaining its heritage and traditional features.
Interior updates, led by design agency Kirk & Nolan, combine rich, dark red and green tones with exposed brickwork, bronzed antique mirrors and an eclectic mix of artwork. New timber flooring complements a revitalised bar area, complete with new booth seating and a coffee counter. Key heritage features remain, including the original open fireplace, ready for the colder months.

Outdoors, the 94-cover garden and terrace have been refreshed with updated landscaping and hedging, along with new paving for alfresco dining.
For group bookings and meetings, the private dining room, able to seat to 14 guests (or 20 standing), has been enhanced with an interactive 65-inch TV for business presentations and private events.
“We are thrilled to be unveiling the newly refurbished Wheatsheaf this November,” said Zee Sakrajda, General Manager of The Wheatsheaf.
“Great care has been taken to elevate the pub and create a space fit for the local community, from upgrading our bar to launching our very first weekend brunch offering. We look forward to welcoming both longstanding regulars and new guests back through our doors.”

The Wheatsheaf marks Young’s Pubs’ continued investment to its estate in Surrey, following on from the success of The Bear in Oxshott and The Swan Walton-on- Thames.
