Omeon Mykonos set to open in April

Opening 30 April 2026, Omeon Mykonos officially debuts as a reimagined five-star, adults-only (16+) retreat, following an extensive refresh, into a design-led sanctuary rooted in quiet luxury, emotional restoration and contemporary Cycladic living. The property is operated by SWOT Hospitality, the leading Greek hospitality management company behind a growing portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts across the Mediterranean.

More than a rebrand, Omeon represents a deliberate repositioning, both of the property and of Mykonos itself. Conceived as a refined counterpoint to the island’s party-driven legacy, Omeon introduces a wellness-first hospitality concept designed for couples and culturally attuned travellers seeking privacy, atmosphere and meaningful escape. Operating through to October 2026, the 38-room boutique retreat establishes itself not as a seasonal hotspot, but as a brand-first lifestyle destination shaped by architecture, spa culture and intentional service.

A Defining Moment for “New Mykonos”

As global travel trends shift toward restraint, experience and emotional connection, Mykonos is evolving. The new generation of traveller seeks duality: access to the island’s energy without being defined by it. Omeon captures this shift. Located in Agios Stefanos, just 650 metres from the beach and 4.2km from Mykonos Town, the property offers proximity without immersion, placing guests within reach of iconic beach clubs and nightlife while preserving an atmosphere of calm.

Architecture of Quiet Luxury

The rebrand of the property has been guided by a philosophy of the Omeon brand. Clean white volumes, softened edges and open-air transitions reflect traditional island geometry while embracing contemporary minimalism. Sea-facing terraces, generous proportions and uninterrupted Aegean views reinforce space as the ultimate luxury. Across all 38 rooms and suites, including 18 Retreat Rooms and 20 Suites, interiors favour tactile natural materials, tonal palettes and spa-inspired bathrooms designed for sensory ease rather than spectacle.

Accommodation categories range from Island Gaze Rooms to the expansive Aeon and Omeon Signature Suites, many featuring private pools, plunge pools or rooftop hot tubs. The adults-only (16+) environment ensures an atmosphere of intimacy and cultivated calm.

A Destination Spa at the Heart of the Hotel

At the core of Omeon’s identity sits its destination-led spa, not as an add-on, but as the architectural and experiential anchor of the property.

In contrast to traditional Mykonos hospitality, wellness at Omeon is integrated into daily rhythm. Rituals, pace and environment work in harmony. Guests can move between:

  • A restorative spa offering tailored treatments and massage therapies
  • An open-air gym designed to embrace the island climate
  • An outdoor yoga space positioned for sunrise and sunset sessions

Experience-Led, Brand-First Hospitality

Omeon has been conceived as a brand with longevity and cultural credibility. Architecture, interiors, dining and service are unified under a singular ethos of quiet confidence.

For dining, the menus and inspiration are rooted in elegant Mediterranean comfort cuisine, where simplicity, seasonality and the flavours of the Aegean take centre stage. At the heart of the offering is Ora Mare, a relaxed yet sophisticated restaurant inspired by the rhythm of “the hour by the sea,” celebrating the region’s windswept landscapes, sun-ripened produce and coastal traditions.

Complementing the experience is Eos Bar, named after the Greek goddess of dawn, an atmospheric poolside setting designed for leisurely sunrise coffees and sunset cocktails. Guests can begin the day with a hybrid breakfast combining a Mediterranean buffet and curated à la carte dishes, before enjoying an all-day menu of elevated comfort classics available throughout the property and via room service, alongside a late-night selection crafted for guests returning from Mykonos’ vibrant nightlife.

Additional features on property include luxurious accommodation such as expansive terraces and sculptural daybeds framing the main pool and private sea-facing accommodation encouraging slower rhythms.

Mykonos 2026: A More Considered Island

Luxury travel is increasingly defined by intention. Guests seek destinations that reflect their values, and travellers are choosing calm and authenticity.

Omeon Mykonos answers this demand, introducing a softer, more refined chapter for the island. Contemporary yet rooted in Cycladic simplicity, social yet serene, the hotel embodies the evolving identity of Mykonos as a destination for design, wellness and meaningful connection.

Reservations are now open for stays from 30 April 2026. For reservations and further information, please visit: www.omeonmykonos.com.
