Schattdecor displays digital vision

Schattdecor has focused on the implementation of industrial digital printing for furniture and flooring surfaces since 2009. Being at the forefront of digital printing innovation is one of Schattdecor’s key goals for the future – hence the company’s presentation of its first reference products for new digital printing technology at this year’s Interzum.

Digital-printing technology offers tremendous innovation potential, and rapid technological progress is being made. Schattdecor developed over 80 digital decors and presented an initial collection at Euroshop 2011, and a further 40 decors have been developed by the design team in Thansau, Germany, over the past two years. The company presented its latest innovations at Interzum 2013 at the Innovations of Interiors (IOI) in hall 4.2.

Schattdecor has repeatedly been honoured for its creative ideas with the prestigious international Arena Design Award, thanks to its Giant Wood and Paint Splatter decors. The company’s ability to combine digital decor printing with monochromatic light also attracted plenty of attraction from visitors at its IOI stand.

Schattdecor’s presentation on the piazza of hall 6 aimed to provide visitors – through the involvement of all five senses – with a better insight into the wide range of opportunities provided by digital decor printing.

Schattdecor exhibited its Greenworld decor for the first time in co-operation with flooring specialist, Windmöller. The digitally-printed decor was presented as an environmentally-friendly PU flooring solution from the Windmöller PURLine eco series.

In collaboration with Egger, Schattdecor exhibited the Pixel, Aspen, Atelier, Zig Zag and Lessoni surface deigns on lightweight benches in the forum of the piazza.
Schattdecor displayed its innovative new decors, Cumberland Ash and Canyon White Pine, in the piazza’s Touch zone. The surface-effect decors show all facets of the synchronous presentation of optical decor structures with tactile surface finishes.

Schattdecor also contributed five distinctive chair designs for the piazza’s catering area. The comfortable chairs featured the Rasper, Traffic, Tornado, Web and Broken Glass decors, encouraging visitors to spend more time in the piazza. The exclusive pieces were produced in close collaboration with a Rosenheim-based chair manufacturer.

The high quality of the digitally-printed surfaces has led to an increase in order volumes for Schattdecor’s Digital Visions decors since last year. The company’s latest developments are displayed in its new product flyer, as well as on its newly-developed Digital Visions website – where customers can now obtain comprehensive information about all former and the latest digital print decors.
